Real Estate Statistics for June 2012 Real Estate Statistics for Lake County, Florida – March 2014
The following statistics were just released the third week of April for March. There were a total of 507 closed sales in March 2014 for the Lake and Sumter County Florida area, compared to 452 closed sales in March 2013. Closed sales in March reflect the purchasing in February.
The average selling price for March 2014, in the Mount Dora, Eustis, & Tavares greater area was $146,849 compared to an average selling price of $132,887 for the same period in 2013.
The average number of days a house was on the market in the Golden Triangle Area of Lake County, Florida was 99 days, compared to 150 in 2013. The number of months of inventory currently available is 5.9 months and a year ago was 8.2 months. Currently there are 3,004 homes available in the Greater Lake and Sumter County area compared to 3,662 last year at this time.
We are seeing a slight increase in sales prices in certain price ranges, as Seller’s are holding tight with their asking prices and the inventory is very low. As some price points are “inching” up, we don’t expect Lake County to go “crazy”, but we are certainly out of the real estate “slump”.
